FirstGlance Film Festival Seminars Help Indie Filmmakers get seen on the Screen
Apple Authorized Final Cut Pro Training Coming to FirstGlance
PHILADELPHIA, PA, July 24, 2007 – FirstGlance Film Festival announces filmmaking seminars at the Adrienne Theater benefiting aspiring filmmakers by giving them resources to get their projects seen on the screen. Seminars being presented during the festival, Friday, September 28, to Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Adrienne Theater, 2030 Sansom Street, Philadelphia, include Apple Final Cut Pro training and certification by distinguished educator and author of the best selling book, APPLE PRO TRAINING SERIES - FINAL CUT PRO 6, Diana Weynand, a Shot in Philly seminar with industry insiders Peter Leokum, Deputy Director Greater Philadelphia Film Office, and Mike Lemon, Mike Lemon Casting, Writer’s Boot Camp writing seminar by company founder Jeffrey Gordon, Pitch Nehst by Oscar© Award Winner Larry Meistrich, History of Filmmaking in Philadelphia with Irv Slifkin, author of “Filmadelphia,” and Digital Distribution.
Continuing with the success of her FINAL CUT PRO ROAD TRIP last year, Diana Weynand is taking her Authorized Final Cut Pro course to FirstGlance. The Authorized Apple Final Cut Pro 6 class is being offered October 2-4 at the Adrienne Theater in conjunction with the festival. Bill Ostroff, Director, FirstGlance Film Festival said, “FirstGlance is very excited to be the first film festival to host the FINAL CUT PRO ROAD TRIP certification class since first time filmmakers are using Final Cut Pro to edit their projects.” Weynand, president of Weynand Training International, a Los Angeles based Apple Authorized Training Center, will also offer the End User exam at the end of the course. "When class graduates passthe Certified User exam, they become Apple Certified Pros and have their names posted on the Apple website. It’s a great way to show employers that you really know the software,” said Weynand.
